Screen Printed Heat Transfer T-Shirts and Apparel

Screen printed transfers are made by the process of screen printing using plastisol ink onto a special release paper then heat applied to your garment. Screen printed heat transfers feel just like the real deal when applied to your t-shirt and other apparel. The best part is that they last for over 40 washes without comprising your design.

Direct to Film Heat Transfer T-Shirts and Apparel

Direct to film transfers are made using a special printer that prints on film and a special adhesive that allows the design to be heat applied to your garment. DTF can be described between a mix of vinyl and screen printing and a soft to touch feel. DTF transfers last for over 40 washes so you won't have any issues with wearing your custom apparel over and over.

Why choose heat transfers?

Both screen printed heat transfers and direct to film heat transfers are perfect for your custom t-shirts and apparel. Looking at them side by side you won’t be able to tell the difference and both feel and look identical. We have washed and tested both options for over a year and haven’t noticed any cracking, fading, or peeling. We normally recommend washing on delicate or a medium wash and avoid any high heat.

Our standard go-to option is direct to film heat transfers for all orders. When it comes to smaller quantities direct to film heat transfers allow for more customization. For example, if you wanted to print out different names for each shirt or customize each shirt differently, DTF heat transfers are the best option. Screen Printed heat transfers go through a more laborus process and don’t allow as much customization. That’s not to say that’s it’s not possible but you will see a slight price increase with screen printed heat transfers.

Custom T-shirts that are made to last

One of the most common question we get is “how long do direct to film heat transfers and screen printed heat transfers last,” Every printer, applicator and materials used is different. With that being said we are proud to say that our heat transfers are made to last. We have washed a wide range of shirts from 100% cotton, 50/50 blends, and tri-blends on different settings. Thus far these shirts have been washed for over a year and have not cracked, faded, or started to peel. As with any printing method we highly recommend avoiding any high settings on both your washer and dryer.
